What VKC Gold Ikshu collects, why, who we share it with, and your choices.

VKC CANEGOLD IKSHU ZUCKER PURE ("VKC Gold Ikshu", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use vkcgoldikshu.com and the VKC Gold Ikshu app, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • Account details: name, mobile number, email address and, if you choose, date of birth and gender.
  • Delivery and billing details: addresses and PIN codes.
  • Order history: products bought, dates and amounts.
  • Messages: what you send us through the contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp.
  • Payment details: entered on the payment gateway's own secure page. We never see or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking password.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and log data: IP address, browser or app version and operating system, recorded by our servers for security and troubleshooting.
  • Cookies: essential cookies only. See our Cookie Policy.
  • Location: we do not track your location; we only use the delivery address you enter.

We do not use advertising or analytics tracking.

2. How we use your information

  • Orders: to process and deliver your orders, and send order confirmations and shipping updates by SMS, email, WhatsApp or app notification.
  • Support: to answer your questions and handle returns and refunds.
  • Marketing, only with your consent: news about products and offers, and festival greetings. You can opt out at any time.
  • Legal and security: to keep the records GST and FSSAI rules require, prevent fraud and unauthorised transactions, and enforce our Terms.
  • Improvement: to understand what customers like, improve the Website and the app, and develop new products.

3. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share only what each party needs:

  • Courier partners such as Delhivery, DTDC and Shiprocket's couriers: your name, address and phone number, to deliver your order.
  • Payment gateways (Razorpay and Cashfree), to process your payment under their own privacy policies.
  • SMS, email and WhatsApp providers, to send one-time passwords and order updates.
  • Hosting and IT providers that run our website and app.
  • Government authorities, where the law requires it, for example for tax or food-safety compliance.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order or legal process, to protect our rights, property or safety, or to prevent fraud or security threats.

4. How long we keep it

  • Active accounts: for as long as your account is active.
  • Inactive accounts: for 3 years after your last activity.
  • Legal records: as long as the law requires, for example GST records for at least 6 years.
  • Deletion requests: completed within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep the record. You can delete your account in the app under Settings, or by emailing us.

5. Your rights

Under Indian data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it (subject to legal retention), give it to you in a structured format, stop sending you marketing, or withdraw your consent. 6. Data security

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS) on the Website and in the app.
  • Payments handled by PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways.
  • Access to customer data limited to staff who need it to serve you.

No system is completely secure. Never share your one-time password with anyone, and tell us immediately if you notice anything suspicious.

We use only the cookies the Website needs to work. See our Cookie Policy.

8. Third-party links

The Website may link to other sites, such as payment gateways and social media. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies before giving them information.

9. Children's privacy

The Website is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

10. Where your data is processed

Our service is for customers in India. Some of our service providers, for example for image hosting or email delivery, may process data outside India; we choose providers that protect it appropriately.

11. Marketing communications

  • Order confirmations and delivery updates are transactional and cannot be switched off.
  • Promotional emails, SMS and WhatsApp messages are sent only if you opt in.

We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 7 working days. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the National Consumer Helpline (1915) or the consumer commission; food-safety concerns may also be raised with FSSAI.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and we will tell you about significant changes by email or a notice on the Website.

14. Applicable law

This policy is governed by the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
